Thats a great idea. I have been playing to put a iPad in my car for a while. I work at a stereo shop and that is my next project. My idea is to have it completely wireless. I have a iPad 2 and thats just slightly to big. Didnt want to modify my bezel to much. Then the announcement of the mini came out. And I thought thats perfect. Going to relocate my hvac as well as my defi control. Going to be in a full fiberglass housing under the iPad mini. I am going to Bluetooth pandora and iTunes from the mini to a Alpine Bluetooth stereo. That way I do not sacrifice sound quality. I will put the stereo behind the dash. In oem location but just tucked in further back. I will post pics as soon as I start the project.

i agree and thought about going that route as well. there's is a good video online with a how to on doing it that way. just youtube how to install a ipad mini wireless and it should come up. what i am going to do is go full digital so i need to run a bit in on my audison av5.1 amp and i will run a bit 10d out so i get a controller for volume and and it will be a full digital system.

Please be sure to include a full parts list and plenty of pix when you take-on the project.

I feel like the first person to put together a wiring kit/package to make this work for the normal person will be sitting on a gold mine. Subscribed for progress on this as it's likely my biggest want for my car right now hahaha
