going out to get a i pad mini and install it in my dash. so ill just run only pandora and i tunes. and ill have to relocate the hvac. also i have a full herts and audison system so i am going to integrate everything together. should be pretty awesome when i am done i will also post some pictures of how its going as soon as i start. hoping to have it done sooner then later but i pad wont be in for about a week or so. let me know what you guys think of this idea.

 

I've seen people do it with the ipad and I didn't really like it. I think the Mini will be sick If done nicely. Take some step by step photos for us!

 

FYI, it doesn't fit directly into the JDM bezel. Already tried it .

 

i will take some pictures and i am going to mold it into the oem trim bezel so i can slide it in and out on one side of it. its going to be alot of fiberglass work but it will turn out awesome. i have not seen a ipad mini or ipad in evo yet. i saw the android tablet but never a i pad. plus with all my other audio i am going to run full digital to.

^yeah I ran into this video after posting on your thread. the software integration, external control and docking mechanism is exactly what I would want in my evo.

 

i totally agree i think it will be awesome. i talked to my audison rep and i am ordering a audison bit in and a bit 10D or a bit one to run with my AV 5.1k 1650watt 5 channel amp so i will have a full digital audio set up. its going to sound amazing! i also have 2 hurtz HX 300D.5 high energy 12inchsubs, HV 165L.4 hurtz high energy mid range door speakers and audison AV 1.1 28mm tweeters and i ran it all active.

Are we close geographically? I wanted to do this as well, except with a nexus 7 of course.

yea, they are. it's one of the main reasons i haven't bought one.

my co-worker has one, i think they can make it thinner and have less of a bezel so i will wait for another model.

 

that is so cool! you just need some wifi and you got your navigator!
