this will be fully functional with the rockfords and i will also get the kiwi wifi and turn the ipad into digital reading gauges for the cars ecu. the volume will be controlled with a bass knob located by the armrest. i will update the weekend on the install. color will be painted black with a clear over for scratch resistance.















final update till i get the kiwi wifi for the gauges.

Bahahahaha!!! I like the idea, but it'd probably be distracting for me... Mainly for the angry birds reason... lol

 

the thing is how do you take the ipad out with it like it is horizontal? mine you will be able to remove and put my iphone in if i want. Way more functional.

im considering building one into the passanger side so that the driver dosent get destracted and so the passanger has full access and as a driver youll have voice access

 

how does it react to hard accel/cornering?

 

If you have tints then its a great idea if not id be worried about someone breaking in(smashing a window) and taking ur pricey Ipad in a matter of 5 secs. Looks good though

Looks great. I looked into installing a tablet in my dash but didnt want to do the fabrication myself. As for being stolen, it looks like its removable. So, just remove it if youre worried about it being stolen.
