driving home from work yesterday, got in it a little then about 3 minutes later temp gauge stopped working.. coolant level seems fine but i don't want to drive it anywhere far wince i am unsure what it is running at. Any input etc, car has 107k on it now maybe sensor went bad

 

What's the gauge doing? Stuck on low or high? Not moving at all?

 

its stuck on low was driving then it just dropped as if the car was turned off

 

gave it some pedal and gauge started working so of course whne i took it to a shop it was fine, driving home yesterday merged onto highway some boost a 2-3 gear pull ot about 5500 gauge stopped again this is becoming very irritating

 

update. seems to either work or stop working when under a load higher rpm's i believe i ahve a bad plug since car seems to breakup and sputter at high rpms under boost after that happens is when temp gauge either works or stops working, last 2 days i was easy on it very minimal boost and it seems ok the gauge does seem to fluxuate a little more though never higher than normal running temp but now and then dips down some

 

Check your thermostat

 

will do, if it is damaged what is the first thing i should look for, any benefits to a low temp one such as mishimoto

 

Unless you are tracking it, a lower temp thermo will give you more trouble for daily driving. Engine won't heat up to normal operating temps and will throw a CEL.
