Oem headlight hid turns on and shuts down after 20 sec

Hey guys, like the title states.
I have a 05 evo 8 with factory hid.
The car was involved in a front end colision.
Now everything is fixed, but everytime i turn on the headlights, it shuts off after 20sec.

I tried replacing both bulbs with new ones but its still same..
Im considering the ballast, but both of them at the same time? Kinda sketch..

Anyone?

I would contact the repair center. If this has been happening since the repair, it's possible they either incorrectly reinstalled the HID system or it was damaged from the accident, but they didn't know. Either way, you are entitled to its repair for free

Good luck proving the accident was the cause of the malfunction. Unlikely it will be repaired free. Do both sides exhibit the same problem or only one? Did you use aftermarket or oem bulbs? How did they act with the old bulbs? Did it start happening after the work was done? Sounds like a ballast issue. If not it's somewhere else in the circuit.

Yes both of them.. Same as thing as the OE. I bought an aftermarket bulb from amazon..

Is there a specific place / fuse / relay that i should be checking?

This happened before on my friends truck. He installed a hid kit, the problem was a poor ground..

Can that be a case here?
If so. Is there a specific ground wire for the headlights?

Just cause I'm the curious type. Which ones did you get from Amazon? Post a link? I like to know what doesn't work just as much as what does.
