Hey guys, need help. Saw a similar thread regarding this but doesn’t seem like it was resolved. So Im not getting power into my ECU (Pins 12 & 25). Upon looking at the diagram for engine relay (Relay 2 under the hood). I checked black and yellow wires numbered 1 & 2 and they both have 12v, also checked 3 which is the red wire also has 12v but for some reason its not giving it power for number 4 red and yellow wire. I can give it 12v power on my power probe and everything is good. I also replaced the relay and no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advanced!
Did you check all the fuses under hood and in the interior fuse panel that are labeled with the engine symbols? Does the car even try to turn over?
Did it ever run since you had it? If so what was the last thing you did to it, modification or otherwise? Also if it was running what where you doing when it stopped running?
Thanks for the response, I did check all the fuses under the hood and in the interior panel. Everything is good. The car does not turn over. Car has been down for 2.5 yrs, new engine build, also installed an ohmracing mil spec engine harness. I was trying to upload my basemap but no comm with ECU and this was when I found no power going into ECU. I found another diagram and did some more testing using this and here is what I found:
*Pin 80 on ECU has constant 12v power
*Pins 1 & 2 on Relay side has 12v when ignition is on
*Pin 3 on Relay side has 12v
* Continuity b/w Pin 25 on ECU and Pin 4 from the relay side with relay removed
* Continuity b/w Pin 38 on ECU and Pin 3 from the relay side with relay removed
* No continuity b/w wire 3 and 4 from the relay side
So still not sure why pin 3 has 12v when it should be grounded. I was going to disconnect the connector with Pin 38 into ecu and hook pin 3 out the relay to ground to see if the relay switches on to give ECU power. Anymore ideas or anything is greatly appreciated!
