Evo 8 Alternator number three....

I’ve only had my Evo a couple years so I’m not sure if this is a common problem or not. And it’s daily driven lol so I get to keep a close eye on the car. But I’ve been through two O’Reilly alternators in the year since I built my motor. My car isn’t anything to crazy electrical-wise. A couple gauges and an aftermarket stereo. Walbro 255 but factory injectors, coils, all that other fun stuff. It’s a 2.4L stroker tuned by English Racing. The clip for the connector on the factory alternator broke when I pulled the motor so I got a new one. Car sat for like 6 months dealing with other issues, but I think since the first drive the battery light has flickered intermittently. It never caused problems but I checked it back in February cause my windows were moving slowly and voltage regulator read bad. Replaced it a month or so ago and yesterday it started flickering again. I don’t really know what to do and the alternator is real annoying to change so I’d like to only do this one more time. Taking suggestions. Should I pay someone to build the current one better, just warranty the part again, go for an oem, or is there a better alternative?
Thanks!

You need to understand why your alternator is failing. If the alternator is full fielded all of the time, it will kill even a good part.

Very common on aftermarket alternators for these cars, not sure why.

They are expensive, but get an OEM and it'll last.
