I’m currently working on a 2003 Evo that I am confused about. This factory door wire under the dash used to connect to something, but I am having a hard time figuring out what went to. Any ideas

Is it possible its for an un-ordered Evo option that is not in use? I know my RS has some of that wiring (i.e. speaker wiring)

ok i took a peek and saw that brown foam wrap behind the clock and nowhere else (evo9)

 

what are the wire colors?

Not too many 2 pin connectors in that area, so I'm going to guess HVAC blower motor.

 

Definitely could be. It doesn’t have a radio in it right now, so that could be my unhappy surprise when I install one early next week. We’ll find out soon, I guess.

It’s not that either, thank goodness. It’s not the overhead light or the map lights, either. Nor is it the intercooler sprayer.

Funny side bit, while skimming through the circuit diagram I noticed a typo? where Mitsubishi calls the dome light the "Doom Light"

 

The horror.
I ordered a cheap radio. After Biggiesacks post, I started looking into things. There’s not a single speaker in this car. Not even the tweeters.

I guess that radio isn’t going to work too well.

So was that connector going to the tweeter or to the radio? I got one or two like that too, as well as the antenna connector, but all my speakers work and I deleted the factory radio and replaced it with just a KTP-445U.

 

That one went to the radio.
