Just Put an ACT CLutch in

And I love it, it holds VERY Firmly. But I DID NOT stall it 1st drive. Is it a harder to push down, yeah, a little, but I was used to it by the next light. You can Certainly SHOCK the drivetrain with this clutch though, be careful. I let it slip and then BANG The car is off, no hesitation, just clamp, go. This clutch should have come with the car, i am loving it. It feels great and only has 16 miles on it, I am sure it'lll feel even BETTER after 600 Miles of traffic. I highly reccomend, no reason for a high cost clutch, this works fine and holds 500FP's of torque, all I will ever need, i think
How much for the clutch package.
did you install it?
If not, how much were you charged for the install.
Did you keep the stock flywheel?
When the time comes, I will be going with the act package.

I am not to big on the flywheel. I hate how just cuz its an Evo, prices are jacked up. The flywheel with a 2900 pressure plate is a recipe for chatter, which other members have confirmed. Plus its another $350 for about a 5 pound savings or so. I used the stock flywheel, just resurfaced it, its fine. I paid $500 for the clutch, and $500 for the install. Great deal. foro the clutch.
Take it easy on the new clutch. Let it break in the right way, i know its hard to not get on it, but the first 1000 miles will determine the outcome of how long it will last

Same here...installed myself on the stock flywheel. The ACT street disk setup was exactly as I expected and works perfectly. I don't see any reason to spend more than double the money on a twin disk clutch.

I'm happy for those "other members" and their opinions you are promoting... However, after having driven Mistuorder's Evo with the ACT PP, "upgraded" disc, and light flywheel, I have to say from personal experience that there is no real "chatter" to speak of. Including having Mitsuorder chauffeur me around in the car today, also with no issues.

and your opinions better because..............
Your story is just as good as mnine, no reason to get upset
I had an ACT 2600 with my Fidanza on MY TSI AWD, it did rev faster in Neutral, I did not notice any big gain, IDK. It was Harder to launch, the line between "bog" and THWACK!!!!!!!!! was a CU.NTs hair in width. Parrellel parking? *****, I had to slip the shizzy out of it and creep it foward and back, but I did get used too it. The MAIN reason I did not like it is because as FAST as the Rpms rose. they dropped even faster and, so you had to be a fast shifter, going up hills required more gas not to mention STARTING up a hill was a challenge, but yeah I got used to it and became seemless after practice.

hey Mistuorder how do u like the flywheel. is it worth getting? i am going to get a clutch soon, and i mind as well get a flywheel too. anybody heard about the no-name roadrace clutch? I think i am going to get that.
Yeah o with what you want. The Flywheel is an ok Choice, you just have to adjust to it with any other mod. Less weight it spins faster, but you lose inertia and yoru RPMS drop faster between shifts, but from a roll I'd say you have an advantage.
