got some bolt ons installed, but...

im confused. My evo was stock before all this was done at gruppe-s on monday. I just had defi d gauges, boost, egt, and oil pressure installed. HKS hi power exhaust , 3" high flow cat, and the HKS rs intake. I feel like i lost power. My boost only goes up to 16lbs and never tapers. i tought stock was 19lbs and tapers to 16 lbs. I'm thinking it's the intake? don't know what to do. Do you think a reflash will help?

if you get exhaust you gotta get a boost controller the increase in flow makes it harder for it to hold boost at stock wastegate setting so you increase your boost and it will be much nicer set it to stock 19 and it will be great

That's odd. My boost went up from 19 to 21 psi when I added a turboback. Check the install to make sure there are no leaks. I definitely felt a big increase in power too.

no way! I thought there was a boost soleniod that holds boost until its released by the wastegate. The exhaust opened shouldnt have anything to do with the load the wastegate flapper has. The waste gate flapper is before the wastegate. There are 2 lines connected to the boost solenoid. Increasing boost is good if you take in account all the other factors like a/f ratio. Adding boost without proper fuel makes the motor lean.

Best mod ive ever done was the flash. No need to worry about boost controllers or fuel controllers. Its stealth and a great bang for the buck. What tuner is up to you. Everyone will recomend a different one.
