I don't know. I'll be able to give a much better evaluation after it's installed in a couple of weeks.

Neil,

Yeah we can arrange that. Although we will only advertise polished units, if anyone wants to request un-polished end tanks we can knock off around $20. In addition we will also include a stensil to spray the Nisei logo.

Hello everyone, we will be adding the intercooler to the website later tonight. I received the nice high res pictures so i'm ready to post it on the site. Stay tuned for a store link!

I will try addressing each of the questions on the previous 3 pages later. I have to go out and run some errands right now. Thanks!

i'd also give up a few tubes for a better fit... the thing is... the cooling tubes are already smaller than most ics which means more restricted flow to radiator... plus it sits higher... things to worry about. such a toss up... it has such good qualities... and br sits so low... and the rspec is so light... need numbers.

The end tanks are cast specifically for the Evo (you'll see how it's contoured to fit and has indents for the A/C hard lines) and the core itself is designed as well using mathematical figures and strict testing (we're on the 4th or 5th revision now). We will be publishing pressure drop tests in a couple weeks as well.

did they take heavy consideration to radiator air flow? just wanna know that this thing has covered all aspects.

Guys, here's a snipet from the email Nisei wrote me in regards to the splash guard fitment issues:

"Yes, the undertray assembly does require modification, do to
the unique design of it. As you may already know, the stock undertray rises
upward where the intercooler sits. Typically, the undertrays are flat,
unfortunately this one is not. We are in talks of developing a carbon fiber
replace or attachment. If you have any suggestions or would prefer one
design over the other please feel free to write us."

Personally, I think this is a great idea as this solves the problem with modifying the stock undertray (assuming it's done well). So, if you guys like this idea of a replacement, email them and tell them that. Their email address is sales@niseiengineering.com

Hey everyone, the intercooler is finally for sale on our site. Check out the link below:

We will be measuring for the new undertray today, should be sweet! There's also a trunk battery relocation kit coming out. It's all billet, looks incredible!

If you sell this as a full kit with lower piping between $750 (like buschur) and $900 and can provide me with some good numbers comparing the two. I will buy it tomorow.

The intercooler was initially designed for the stock piping, so the driver's side angles back slightly to line up perfectly with the stock hoses. I don's see any reason why it wouldnt fit the samco hoses.

We've already compared against the buschur, we're just doing a write-up on it and we'll hopefully have the results up within the week. Piping will be out in about 3 weeks.

Absolutely, the nisei core uses a less dense core than the buschur. To my knowledge the buschur intercooler has no overheating issues. Buschur uses a 18 FPI (Fins Per Inch counted horizonally) while the nisei uses 12 FPI. Not to mention, the nisei intercooler has more width that the buchur so it blocks less of the radiator with end tanks. The end tanks are recessed more on the Nisei intercooler. On a lot of aftermarket cores the larger end tanks block the radiator.
