Went from 300 miles per tank to 230!!!

Hey Guys,

Have a problem that worries me. About 2 months ago got the Mail in flash from Al, (works like a charm by the way). My MPG went up, I consistantly got 300 miles per tank. About 2 weeks ago, I decided to change my plugs. I got the NKG's BP7es i believe (bought them from pruven Performance). After installing them, I accidently crossed the wires and the car was misfiring badly. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until, 30 min. later. In the mean time, I may have had the car idling for 3-5 min tops (after pulled the plugs 4 times and regapped I would try to run it, thought maybe some crap got into the plug holes). I finally figured it out after a call to pruven. the car ran great after I reinstalled the wires correctly. But now my gas mileage SUX! I must have lost ATLEAST 50-75 miles per tank! Can anyone help me out here? What's going on?

BTW, here are my mods: Buschur MBC, Dyno Flash, Buschur Turboback, highflow cat.

Thanks!

Strange because my car started to backfire also when using the NKG's BP7es. Others use it with no problem.

I was getting 16 mpg since I received the flash back in August. I had bpr7es and replaced them with new ones, gapped to .030 and now I'm gettin 20 mpg and a lot more low end tq.

I would replace the plugs again.

This definetly how good product service will lead to repeat customers/referals! Thanks Al (note: Just so that there is no misunderstanding from the viewers, dynoflash is working properly, I suspect the plugs are the culprit)

Last warning. Either knock off the personal campaign against Dynoflash or your account will be disabled. Thanks.

Merc300 Muhahahaha,

Dude you dont quit do you. One thing I can say about you, you are tenatious, almost like that hard, crusty green booger that little kids spend all day trying to get out. No, it IS NOT THE DYNOFLASH. If you READ the first post, then you will see what is the real cultprit! But then again, judging by the content of your posts or lack thereof, maybe reading is asking to much?

Geez guys on this forum not only want to go faster but they also want better gas mileage. That is analogious to---I want to eat more and not get fat.Make more money but work less hours. Be rested and refreshed but only sleep an hour a night. Have a hot chick and not have to put up with her bull$hit.Get the message. Stay off of the boost and get better mileage or try the 8es plug when running higher boost. Feel sorry for the tuners in this world as customers want their cars to be rocketships but keep all the positive stock characteristics. OUT!

Two words, winter gas! Once spring/summer rolls around you'll notice a full tank runs around 280-300miles. With winter gas, I'm getting around 230-240 miles.

Are we going to start getting flashed for gas mileage instead of power gains in the future. I will flash your ECU for $200 and your gas mileage will improve by 20% guaranteed. Go buy a Geo Metro and sell the Evo to someone that will use it for its intended purpose.
