Have you considered trying to make some sort of Frankenstein motor using your 2.4 bottom with the EVO head? Or am I trying to make things too complicated?

Oh yeah, almost forgot, there are EVO Zero Fighter editions which probably would be a marketing mistake here in the U.S. They are just hard tuned EVO VI's.
i have a tranny swap planned for the future, but this motor swap is gunna drain me for a couple months financially so im gunna wait till the galant tranny dies, then ill swap it...should be soon lol

im not gunna take this motor apart and make a stroked 4g63t. one: because its not exactly a scientific process yet, not many people actually have exact instructions of how to do it, especially with a motor thats reverse rotation, its a big pain in the ***, maybe someday, but for now, im perfectly happy with the evo motor and its capability
ill be pushin 20psi on the 16g , and 16psi with sprayin the NX 50shot
that will be enough

i always loved the impreza/lancer i might be taking on the task to conver the mirage into a evolution. if the mirage can perform close to what the evo does... my plans are to have a 100% daily driver that still tear things up at the track i wanna run circles around my friends anyways if the mirage cant handle quite as nice then iMPREZA here i come

As a previous Mirage owner and EVO lover, I have to say the Impreza 2.5RS -> Sti conversion is relatively easier/feaseable to complete than the Mirage -> EVO conversion.

There are a good number of RS/WRX/Sti conversions done that I know of and there are a few shops (mostly in the Bay Area or Canada) that did that on a regular basis for GC8-Impreza lover to boost the performance....

You'll have a much easier time with the impreza.. at least it shares a similar drivetrain with the WRX where swapping in the STI hardware should be much easier.

I can vouch for that.

But if you want to stay in the Mitsu camp, you can talk to www.tadmotorsports.com. These guys have done numerous USDM mirage to EVO conversions and know them like the back of their hands. I used to live right down the street from them and they have impressive cars there all the time.

Also, the evo motor conversion might be feasible on a USDM mirage but the AWD conversion will be next to impossible unless you do what the TAD guys do and chop the rear half of a JDM EVO and weld it on.

I thought they stop doing that for street cars already??? I talked to one of the guys there and he said they were overwhelmed by Rally car orders (rally support, rally car mods) and can't really do that....Maybe they can do if during off-season???

However, if you have enough $$$, most of the things can be changed

well the lancer evo has always been my favorite of 2(impreza vs lancer) anyways i was gonna get an impreza (00-01 before new body) but after all the talk from me most of my honda friends (3 of them are gonna go for an impreza) soo i dont wanna have the same car, so that is why i am considering the mirage evolution. my friend owns a shop and says he can get the motor and all the awd parts and him and his mech's can do the swap (they specilize in mitsu's) the thing is i want the best performing car i can get of the 2, i know the impreza handles well. but i know nothing of the mirage body (even tho it looks like an evo its chassis is different?) ive been to the mirage boards but a lot(not all) of them seem to be ricers and care for tacky kits and euro lights (no offence) and maybe you guys can shine a little more light on this. i want a car that is a fun car to drive/handle and can do well in competition road courses, also i would wanna do some mild rally

sorry if you guys dont care. but thanks for any insight. much<3
