Thumbs down alternator fail safe on evo?

i just got my new Odysey 680MJ mini battery because of the burchur upper pipes, after i put it on my evo, did it reversely,
all the lights are on!!! after debuggin, i found that i am stupid to put terminals resersely,

anyhow, now my car won't charge my battery anyone,
i assuem that i need to replace my alternator,
does anyone know if there is fail safe on evo,

does anyone know if the alternator's part number?
i assume the alternator on evo will be the same on lancer oz, or all mitsubishi cars?

thanks

you're lucky if the alternator was the only part that failed, you can easily fry some modules and circuits...

but the small battery won't fit on the way stock battery terminal was,
after taking out the red cap +, hardly know which one is which,
i just too excite to try my new burchur parts,

i dnot think anyting other's wrong, since i am not really try to start the car, i can tell right away all the lights on itself when i did it,

and i did drive the car out today until the battery die in the middle of the road, jump back, barely hold on to my garage.

If you grounded out the battery + terminal the worst you would do is blow up your battery. But since that didn't happen I would check all your connections and make sure they are tight and seated properly.

lol,
evo did have fail safe to protec the alternator,
there is fuse on top of the positve terminal, it did blow, that's why the alternator can't charge back the battery,

take it off and car start and everything is fine!

but i do want to get a new one from dealership because i drive the car.
