Bigger Throttle-body makes HP?

Considering getting the works throttle body, but i have done a search and appears that nobody has ever done a dyno test to prove if it actually makes power. I also find it interesting that no other vendor offers a bigger TB. If this is such a good adder why would none of the other tuners/vendors jump on the band-wagon? Works claims 10HP, others have reported nice gains on the old reliable butt-dyno. I currently have a k&n drop-in, DP, hi-flow cat & cat back exhaust. I want to do the TB before getting any kind of flash, xede, P2, etc.

A bigger TB pushes your powerband to the topend. I don't see any G63T even the need for it.

Example: Look at the 90-100mm TB from a Q45 . . . SR20DET guys do it to push it towards the top end (forget about the lowend) as with supra guys and some jerryring amongst the H&A crowd. Before arrogance set in the mindset of Evo owners, it has been proven for guys pushing beyond 800 fly HP. Just like VPC is proven to make tons of HP w/ tuning.

A throttle body can give you more HP if it is restricting the air flow going into the engine, since all the air has to move through the TB. A throttle body upgrade becomes more effective the more volume of air you are trying to move (i.e. more boost, more displacement). So if thats the bottle neck in you intake system it will allow you more HP. just not sure on the number.

To a certain extent. You can only hone out (port match) so much on your IM before you literally have no material holding the TB to the IM. Then, you start going for custom IM, and it will cost as much or more as a bigger turbo. Again, all of your gains will be on the topend. Just like the concept of 800-1000 fly HP street car . . . the lag will be so severe that it's unbearable to drive in the city.

Probobly completely worthless on a stock turbo, and poissibly worth the 10hp on a 500+hp engine.

all the times Iv seen DSM guys "upgrade" the throttle body, it makes no differance.
