Upgraded turbo kit w/o EMS ????

Is anyone running a GT30R or larger turbo kit without an EMS. I've been looking around at all the larger upgraded turbo kit and i have not noticed any MAS on cars with kits. Any information would be useful. Thanks

IMO you need the EMS if you get a turbo kit mainly because you'll get a lot of power!! and if you choose to run racegas, you can always switch maps instantly

You can run a piggy back wiht a bigger turbo kit like the gt30r and the gt35r even. It's just a matter of getting it tuned but I know for a fact that the guys at RnR have pulled almost 500awhp ona gt35r kit without using a standalone. Here are some examples of RnR's kits running piggybacks.

This guy is using a greddy e-manage on crappy 91 oct pump gas and go these numbers https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ght=RnR+Racing

This is RnR's info and dyno sheet on 494.4whp https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ght=RnR+Racing

I have run many large turbos on the reflash alone

The reflash makes for great driveability and no hassel and a resonable price

Contrary to popular misconception, one does not need an EMS to put up big power numbers with a larger turbo, period.
