Stock EVO's make around 200whp on a Mustang Dyno here in MI. I assume the MR makes more. I have to say, WOW! thats a FAT torque curve. It looks like mine after several thousand dollars of parts.

Nah, mine looked just like that when it was stock (but with a bit less torque), and it had no boost or other problems.

It doesn't look like that now...

Says right in the manual that performance will be less if you dont use 93 and you only get full boost in 1st an 2nd. In 3-6 the computer pulls boost after about a second of wot. I can really feel it.

Look at the dyno setting for HP @ 50mph. I have seen 13.5 and 12.5, but never 1.

This seems ok, I had my 03 on the COBB Tuning/Modern Garage Dyno a week ago in Salt Lake City and put down 198 hp and 212 tq on 91 octane Chevron gas. Only mods on my car are K&N drop in and Buschur Racing muffler delete.

Guys the EVO MR was ran in 4th not 3rd as stated somewhere in this thread. The HP@50 relates to drag coef and for the sake of this test is not really related.

The truth be known on this car was that it spiked to 1.5bar then dropped then tried to come back up to 1.5bar again and ran at around 9.8:1 from 6k onwards.

The car made more TQ than a Evo does on our dyno but the HP was about the same as a stock EVO perhaps overally conservative mapping for the winter grade CA 91??

Very true, to be honest if the car held the 1.5 bar it was try to I would imagine it would have made about 225-230whp.

That seems plausible considering the general consensus is the benefit to the larger hotside is greater midrange torque.

thanks for the clarification. don't mean to seem overly concerned or over analytical, just that i broke the car in the "rough" way and i wanted to see and understand the results

there is a mustang Dyno in sacto, at s-squared, and stock STI's make about 215 HP on it....so, all dyno's vary. I would not worry about it. Does the car run strong? Do you need to pursue an upgrade path specific to certain goals? These are questions you might ask.

I think stock EVO's dyno at 215-220whp at the Matrix Dyno in Portland and it's a Mustang.
I laid down 328 with some 100 in the tank.

I like the torque curve though, I'm sure Shiv could do magic for it! I think he's already starting working on them....
