Those with MBC ???

I bought the car with the MBC on it already so I dont know how the stock one looks like. I hope it is the one that I've shown below. Did you guys remove the boost solenoid sensor or not when you put in the MBC? If not how did you leave it on there. Without the sensor the CEL comes on.

Thanks.

Just leave the stock boost solenoid hooked up and in stock position unless it is in the way of something. If that is the case then just find another spot to fix it to as long as the wire can stay connected.

I don't even know what you have pictures of. What you posted looks to be some type of device in the BOV return hole...a stock EVO does not come with that. However it does have a BCS and that is mounted to the frame rail under the area of your intake. It has two hoses coming from it and a electric plug goes to it.

When a MBC is installed the BCS is capped off and not used. Or at least this is how I would do it.

No that's not the sensor. THe sensor is actually over by the chasis. Don't have a pict, but it's a small box with a plug that has two nipples coming off the end of it. IIRC, it's got some brass coloring on it.

Leave that sensor plugged in so you don't throw a cel.

The problem with me is that when I bought the car it already had a MBC and the plug for the boost sensor was left floating zip tie under the BR intake. My cel sometimes come on and I didn't realize it was that until now. The seller gave me the stock pieces but I don't know what the sensor looks like. I took a look at the stock air box and nothing. My guess is that he probably threw it away.

Your boost sensor should be right under your BR intake. It is a gold metal device with two nipples on the end for hoses to connect to. This must remain connected to the wiring or you will get your cel to come on.

So does this mean that the sensor should be on the car? I'll look at the engine again tomorrow. The plug is under the BR intake there unplug.
