I was thinking of getting the ralliart at first, but after i read the kit was really for the evo VI and VII and mod is needed to fit in the VIII, I went with the RVM instead.

Cost wasn't my main concern, i just wanted something that is made for my car. I was quite disappointed at my HKS RS intake after installation. The bracket provided with the HKS didn't even work, so i have to just rest the yellow mushroom filter on the frame of my car, pretty ghetto, but nothing I can do about it.

I don't how well the RVM kit work because my parts won't be here till next week, but from what I've read here, some people have good result with the RVM so i went with their opinion. I paid $318.95 including shipping from a NY vendor on ebay. I can post some pictures next week if anyone want to see it.

Best part, the price will be great and I am sure it will match every one budget.

I would just wait for the Helix kit. Looks good and it's cheap.

What is that extra discharge tube on the upper ic pipe? I've noticed this on the JDM HKS ic pipes as well. Is this for the anti-lag?

I agree that aluminum should be used for our IC piping since we get aluminum stock. To me, using a cheaper material does not match the car and would be like downgrading.

The reason why aluminum ic pipes would cost a lot more is because the piping needs to be heated to its annealing temperature to be bent without weakening the material.

Bulletproof selld the HKS Kansai Upper IC piping for the EVO 7. They state some modification needed to fit.

I was assured in a e-mail that all it needs is a little dremmel work to fit a USDM EVO 8. I don't see why the RalliART would be any different regarding fitment.

I say just ask to check the fitment af ANY IC Piping you want to buy and check the return policy in case you get lied too.
