Buschur Racing dyno thread.....new developments.
David,
I'll offer up my car to help you break in the new dyno and learn the differences between it and the old one.
I have HKS 280's, an AEM EMS, UEGO gauge, cam gears and more setting in my living room waiting to be put on. I have been waiting for over a month to get into a local shop to get tuned, just because they have an AWD Mustang Dyno. I would much rather wait another 5 weeks and travel to Ohio to have your superior shop work its magic, now that you are getting the new machine.
I think the AWD Mustang Dyno will be a stepping stone for your business, and a great tool to allow you to take a huge leap ahead in the already impressive tuning service you offer.
Congratulations on the new addition to your tuning family!

We'd be glad to do the work to the car and tune it here. Did the EMS come from here?

Holy crap almost 50 pages! I'm assuming the dyno is all ready to go now? Any idea on rates yet? I'm going to have to sell a kidney so I can make a second trip to Buschur this year
We are installing the dyno right now, 7-28-05. They dropped it off this morning. The tech is adjusting belt tension now from the front to rear rollers. We have to wire it yet, hopefully sometime this weekend. Good chance it will be running next week.
Rates, not sure yet. When we had the Dynojet I always felt odd charging to use it, therefore we never made any money with it. That is not going to be the case with this one! Many shops are charging $100-150 per hour for the dyno. That is probably pretty fair but I don't see us charging that much. I think $75 per hour is more inline with what we will charge, that is if you want to do the tuning yourself or just make pulls. The longer someone needs it the less I would charge. In other words if you come here to tune your car and you are on it all day long I am not charging you $75 per hour times 8 hours. I would adjust the pricing to less after the first hour or two.
I plan to do tuning on the dyno but don't think it would be fair to charge for dyno time and my time together to do driveability, idle and cold start on it. I plan to do all those things off the dyno and then do the WOT runs on the dyno where it is safe and accurate.
Thanks for asking,

Al still does our flashing through the mail. Now that the dyno is installed, or close anyway, he will be coming here for monthly tuning sessions, should be a great time. I'm looking forward to it.
This dyno is pretty kick ***. What a joke a Dynojet is after seeing how complex this is. Dynojet takes 110v for the computer/monitor and an air line for the brake. That's it. This Mustang Dyno has more sensors, brakes, cables etc. than I could have imagined. Very-very cool installing it and putting it together. Very nice precision machine. I hope it is accurate at duplicating road/track as they say it is. Big investment for us.
Florida is too hot for me. San Diego maybe, nice and 70 degrees most of the time

Dyno is in and running.
We are going to do our Staged upgrades again and then make a new thread just like this one. Maybe it will be 50 pages again!
We ran close to 30 cars on the dyno on Saturday for the shootout. Ran another 4 yesterday.
This MD is the best thing we have ever bought. What a far cry from a Dynojet it is! The tunes on this dyno are so perfect there is no adjustment needed for the street or track.
Numbers are much lower than the Dynojet too. Our black EVO only put down 538 whp on the new MD AWD dyno but ran 10.4 at 139 mph this weekend.

Any upcoming dyno tuning days similar to last Friday 12th? How much for dyno tuning?

I don't care what dyno is use just as long as there's before and after data. I was just curious how MD compare to DJ.
