I think this will be my next step last night. I was going to try it last night but it was like 10:30, in my freezing cold garage and i was getting tired

If you bought it from Al at Dynoflash he said he only ships it with the heavy spring. So maybe you have that in there already and dont know it???

I bought mine off the shelf at MonkeyWrench Racing here locally. No idea which spring was supplied.

from what Ive heard the small spring is good for about 15psi or so. to get any more you need the heavy one. So I would bet it came with the heavy one. Did you get an extra one loose in the box or not? If not I would bet it is the heavy one.

UPDATE

Ok, so I came home tonight and switched out the small spring for the heavy spring, turned the mbc up and BAM, right to 19psi right up thru redline.

Here are some pics of my engine bay

the engine bay itself, you can see the hks intake and greddy catch can i installed 2 weekends ago

Here is a better view on how I have the MBC setup, after reading a ton of threads on how to install it there are apparently 2 ways, I went with this way

One line from the wastegate into the mbc, cap off the turbo outlet line, cap off both solenoid lines and the intake nipple, and split the bov line and run that line into the other end of the MBC.

The actual MBC itself, I had to turn it probably 3/4 of the way all the way open to get it to 19psi so I'm sure there is some left in there but 19psi is fine for me.

My Turbo XS BOV nice whoosh sound and holds boost solid.

Thanks for the help everyone.

you run a line from the wastegate to the mbc and also a line from the turbo outlet to the mbc, you don't cut into the BOV at all.

I was told how to install by Al (Dynoflash) and he told me to do it to the turbo outlet and wastegate.

I don't know exactly what you've done, but there are a couple of ways to install an MBC but to my knowledge only one is correct. I installed an AMS MBC and the instructions were for ****. After doing it wrong and cursing a lot I finally figured it out. Here is a sketch of the installation. If you do the connections as shown, you'll be fine. Do not throw away of remove any pills from the lines. Do not throw away anything but be sure to keep anything left over so you can put it back to stock later.....

Looking at the image above, just to make it clear for myself... I tap the line to the bov-intake, cap the nipples on the turbo and MAS/airbox and connect the lines from MBC to the wastegate actuator and to the "t" line on bov and intake.

NOW... what do i do about the lines going into the turbo wastegate actuator? Are there 2 wastegate actuators? And would it be a problem to just leave the lines on the turbo WG actuator without capping it off?

btw... has anyone have experience with the buschur MBC? does it supposed to have some kind of spring or ball in it?? I just noticed it has a nut and the knob to turn.

Those lines are no used once you hook up your MBC. The wastegate actuator is now inoperable. The boost control is totally controlled by the MBC. It does not matter which MBC you use, they are all alike, they all work with the same principle and they all connect exactly the same way. Just cap off all the exposed nipples (and hoses if you like) and you are done

^^^^^ Is EXACTLY how I have mine hooked up now, after trying the other way that was mentioned which didn't work as well. The line coming off the turbo is no longer used and is capped off.

1. Disconnect the hose fromthe Turbo (this is the one that comes off the factory T line),
2. Disconnect the hose from the Wastgate (item on the left in your first picture).
3. Use the hose that came with your MBC. Cut two new pieces to attach to the Turbo and Wastgate.
4. Connect the hose from the Turbo to the bottom nipple on your MBC.
5. Connect the hose from the Wastgate to the nipple on the side of your MBC.
6. Cap off the hose from your intake and the two nipples on your Boost Solenoid. Make sure you leave your Boost Solenoid pluged into the electrical plug.

I only had caps for the two nipples on the Boost Solenoid so I placed a screw into the Intake hose and zip tied it. I then zip tied the old hoses to the intercooler piping so they will be there to return my car to stock when I take it in for service.

I hope that helps.
