Please Help

I had this problem a while back and now it's back. This problem happened not long after my fuel pump and boost controller were installed along with my first dynoflash.

I was driving and my car felt like it hit fuel cut in 2nd gear at 20 mph. I had no clue what it was, but I noticed my gas tank was very low so I filled up. After that it stopped, but it came back a few days later. I got a CEL from it so I had my friend see what the code was. I forgot the code, but I know it was the throttle position sensor. I asked Al about this and he told me it is from a bad ground. I had my friend check the volts coming from the sensor and it was good .5 volts or 5 volts whichever is correct. He said it seemed like the sensor was a little lose. After my friend tightened up the sensor it was fine for about 6 months and 8,000+ miles.

Now what happened today. I got a full tank of gas and it started to happen again. It was strange when I filled up my tank I noticed I got 13.1 gallons I check the sensor it looked and felt tight. I reset my ecu and drove it again. Same thing happened. By the way today I did not get a CEL just had the car do the same thing (like hitting fuel cut)

I am wondering if anyone has a clue as to what is going on? I also wanted to know if I can find my bad ground (if that is what's going on) by turning off 1 device at a time? That may be a stupid question because I think it doesn't matter unless you completely unhook that device

I may have added useless info, but I didn't want to leave anything out. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

It could be a bad ground on the connection to the TPS or the connector itself..

It happens on occasion on a few cars that I've heard of..

You might want to bite the bullet and replace the TPS sensor anyway.. At least that can be done under warranty..

My problem was a bad ground. I re-grounded my turbo timer and reset the ecu by pulling out the fuse. It has been almost 2 months and it has not came back.

Do you have anything grounded that contacts to your ecu?

This may be a dumb suggestion, but could it be something to do with your fuel pump? I see you have the aftermarket walbro, maybe something is up with that.

That is what I thought at first, but when the cel went off it was for the throttle position sensor. How could those be related in a problem?

Did your car throw a TPS CEL again when this happened. Maybe Malibu is right and you just have a faulty TPS. That is strange that it happens in accordance with you getting gas. Wish I could help out more, that would drive me nuts.

Trust me it drives me nuts. I took it to the dealer just after the car did it, but they did not notice it and now my car is over 36,000 miles. They still will take care of me.

Does anyone know how to or what is the best way to make sure the TPS is working correctly?

This has to be a problem with my fuel pump. The last 2 times this happened it was after I topped off my fuel tank. I would like to know how to check to make sure my fuel pump is working correctly? Thanks
