EVO Set up Question
Ahh for the AEM I have a guy here that is a Certified AEM Tuner, also Turbotrix is giving me an excellent support on that department, since they are coming to PR again to race against Subaru on an event we've invited them.
Well, if you've decided on the $2k standalone, the exhaust, cams, pump + install will put you at the $4k budget. You can forget the other stuff, you don't need it. You should end up somewhere in the neighborhood of 350whp (DJ).
Well, for the sake of comparison, I'm using the following:
HKS 272s - set at -4/-1 w/adjustable gears
255lph
10.5t turbo
650cc injectors
3" turboback WITH catalytic converter
AMS Lower IC pipe
Factory Air box
MR BOV
Xede piggyback computer + Xedeflash
I'm at ~355whp (DJ) on 93 oct.
The MR BOV really doesn't give any more peak hp, neither does the 10.5t turbo (just more midrange). The lower IC definitely gives better boost response, not much else. The injectors are just a buffer - don't really make more hp here. The cam timing (gears) is important with the 272s.

I found a good BOV to give power everywhere and the 10.5 housing did too.
