Was your clutch covered under warranty?

my clutch has gone out at 10,200 miles.. im wondering what success people have had getting it covered under the mitsubishi warranty.. perhaps some comments about how you went about it, and if you had to pay how much it ended up costing..

if you havent had your clutch replaced, or didnt try to have it covered under warranty, please dont vote.

thanks in advance for any info!

Had mine done at 7K and they wouldn't cover it at all even after calling the corp office and having the WA field manager go out and look at it. I'm confused because now I've added over 10K worth of miles to the new clutch and I haven't changed my driving style but the clutch is holding fatasticly.

One of my customer's said that they wouldn't warranty his. According to ACT the hydraulic line to the clutch is the problem with all of the clutch going so fast. Supposedly you can replace that with a steel braided line and fix that problem (but it will void the warranty). THis is a fix to the clutch problem, but may cause other drivetrain issues. So, I guess it's a catch 22.

Mine cost me $1600 and it was replaced the the stock clutch so I'm suprized it hasn't gone out yet. If I where you buy a clutch and pay someone to put it in because it will still be cheap then letting the deal do it.

they are charging me 1112$.. i called for clarification on the warranty.. they dont replace any wearable parts, such as clutch, tires, etc.. it makes sense.. my only beef is with the quality of the clutch they are using i guess..

who knows, i think alot of the clutch wearing was my fault, apparently easing off of the clutch in a launch is much worse than just dropping the clutch.. ah well, you live and you learn.
