My down pipe doesnt clear, do I have any options?

The MR down pipe I picked up off of eBay doesnt quite clear the tie rod bars. Is there anything I can do to help this out or am I SOL? Thanks fellas.

um that would be the very last thing to do use spacers on the bar just to give it enough clearance.the only aftermarket tiebar that will clear low dp's is the RMR or the twin of it from DSS

use some spacers/washers. tighten them down nice, to make sure either they dont rattle. You could also or put rubber spacers in, along with the metal washers or be them self inbetween. A friend of mine bent his tie bar going rallying and put a washer with two rubber pieces on the top and bottom (like an oreo, washer is creme, rubber is cookies on top and bottom)

PERRIN makes a bar that they use for their downpipes to clear.

I just took both of mine out. Doesnt seem to have any handling effects, but you'll have to live with some positive camber.

i couldn't find a long enough bolts. As soon as I do, I want to spacer that and put it back on.

Take off the bars and smack them a couple times till they bend just enough for the dp to fit right in.

But then you will be limiting them for what they are desinged for, by bending them. Just by the spacers or another brace that fits with it.

From what I know, you need about an inch longer bolt than the stockers and few spacers in between.

The Perrin DP is supposedly designed to clear the stock tie bars but they also make a tie bar... Another option is the Works DP... they're suppose to clear the stock bar as well... I have a Perrin DP in the mail... I'll let you know if it clears when I get around to installing it...

The Helix v2 and WORKS downpipe clears the stock lower tie bars. IMO, ditch the cheap downpipe and get a better fitting one.
