You'll just run rich but still make more power.

I wouldn't get a flash just for a TBE, get some other stuff first.

Like they're saying, you will make additional power, but much much better with tune. I raced my bro's WRX stock to stock and it was sadly pretty even. Adding the TBE, I pulled on him pretty good. When I added the boost control and custom Dynoflash, I pulled on him like he wasn't even trying. The tune really makes a huge difference.

Adding a Buschur TBE moved me from 230 (stock) to 255WHP on Dynojet, and boost control, intake and custom tuning moved me up to 300WHP. Also, with that setup is what I ran my times below ---V. Reading around, you'll notice that tuning really is everything with this car, once you start modifying. You can get by without it, but it really is the most efficient use of your mod $$$.

As far as who is the best tuner, everyone will tell you that their tuner rocks. It's true, basically all of the major tuners here will get you the power. It just comes down to who you're comfortable with and what you're willing to pay.

They work well on top of a flash, for fine tuning (race fuel, etc), but aren't a great solution for tuning without a flash. Safc can not change timing, or fuel/boost cut perameters, speed limiter, etc.
