wut up evo junkies!! I got some greddy/denso 720cc injectors and was wondering if you can just install something like that and the car will still idle and run fine? I plan on getting the car tuned with them as I know that will be a necessary step. However, what would happen if I just bolt them on? I have quite a few mods so there is a need for more fuel. thanks all.

 

Larger injectors are not a drop-in and forget mod. If you install them, the car will run far too rich, the computer will be confused, and you'll likely get a CEL.

In any case, if you don't have a means of adjusting for the larger injectors, you more than likely aren't making enough power to use them anyway. Install them when you have a means of tuning for them.

 

I have the means of adjusting them, I do have the utec. However I was wondering if I could put them in with my tuned maps w/ the utec.

 

I don't know the software for the UTEC, but if there is an injector scaling variable, you should be able to change the injector size without changing anything else. You'll have to speak to someone who knows the software and can tell you how to do it.
