Or you can give Greddy SP2 a shot, should be one of the quietest catbacks out there for the EVO.

Thumbs up

When just motoring around, the Buschur with the Magnaflow is not bad at all. It does tend to get more musical WOT.

And what sucks is that its not just a ticket you can pay you have to go to court.

here is the question. is there some kind of exhaust system i can use that is very stealth. meaning black muffler (or thin that will hide behind the bumper)and very low noise? but in the prosesses giving some kind of hp increase. i know nothing will produce the power of a 3" tbe.

i say black muffler or thin beacuse the 3 times out of 5 they specifically told me that they didnt hear it they saw the polished canister and made me rev it a little about 3500 rpm.

my thoughts are:
!) a thin style muffler that will be hidden behind bumper i'll even paint it black.( i have the maganflow and it hangs down so they can see it.)

2) 2.5" tbe again paired with ^ option 1. (but is a 2.5" loud never heard one.)

3) back to stock

if someone that has a diffrent set up than me and can give his thoughts, or if a vendor (buschur, vishnu, any vendor) could chime in it would be great.

if anybody got a headache or is confused after reading this to sum up.

i need a quiet tbe that is not noticeable looking at the car

Buddy, this had been covered a million time but I will help you. First of all I thought BR exhaust was nice but once I heard last week in our meet here in DC I freaked out. The thing was sooo loud for no reason, in fact if I was a cop I would have to give you a ticket. You have one good choice which is buy Works exhaust pipe that meets the stock muffler which is perfect. Now take your stock muffler and gut it out. Now you have 3 inch exhaust with stock muffler and it wont be loud and I guarantee a lot of power.

well you have several options, get a new catback, that appears stock ( like the perrin ) and is not an annoying loud, or you could always get a helix or something with a silencer... but if i were you i'd go with perrin, and not book when cops are around.. imo

I 2nd that.. The works stuff is GREAT.. MY dad didnt like the sound of his magnaflow muffler so he got the works stealth.. Feels the same as the magnaflow but sounds and looks the same as stock.

thanks probably best option. anybody have this setup that could try to explain the sound compared to stock?

nothing against az3ar, but
just to clear up the "has been covered a million times". its a little hard to read through thread's that are 40 pages long and the first 20 pages have no help. this thread as you can see got to the point very fast. thanks to all that are replying, keep them coming

Look at the Works stealthworks muffler and intermediate pipe. Extremely stealth, and great power, not much louder than stock!!! Go to norcalevo.net and go to the gallery section. There is a list of some aftermarket exhausts with sound clips.

APS has a turboback that is quiet, and full 3". Regardless of which exhaust I get, it will incorporate a cat and I will paint the tip black.
