ok people i need your help! 3" tbe and cop problem

ok so all of the sudden i have gotten pulled over 5 times in two weeks because of my buschur 3" tbe. they have instated some hard crackdown on noise pollution in my area and it's retarded. i sweet talked my way out of a summons the first four time but last night the cop didnt want to hear about it. And what sucks is that its not just a ticket you can pay you have to go to court.

here is the question. is there some kind of exhaust system i can use that is very stealth. meaning black muffler (or thin that will hide behind the bumper)and very low noise? but in the prosesses giving some kind of hp increase. i know nothing will produce the power of a 3" tbe.

i say black muffler or thin beacuse the 3 times out of 5 they specifically told me that they didnt hear it they saw the polished canister and made me rev it a little about 3500 rpm.

my thoughts are:
!) a thin style muffler that will be hidden behind bumper i'll even paint it black.( i have the maganflow and it hangs down so they can see it.)

2) 2.5" tbe again paired with ^ option 1. (but is a 2.5" loud never heard one.)

3) back to stock

if someone that has a diffrent set up than me and can give his thoughts, or if a vendor (buschur, vishnu, any vendor) could chime in it would be great.

if anybody got a headache or is confused after reading this to sum up.

i need a quiet tbe that is not noticeable looking at the car

I have B&B TBE w/cat delete and at cruising speed is barely louder than stock. At WOT it's still not bad. Oh and the muffler is not visible or canister shaped ;

Try to paint the magnaflow muffler, sand it down and paint. Worth a shot...

That's my suggestion too. Paint the tip black.

If they want to cut down on noise pollution in NYC, they should remove horns from all taxicabs.

I have the Buschur with the Magnaflow...I painted it with a high temp flat black. Didn't even need to sand it, just wipe it clean and it has been no problem.

The fujitsubo is the quietest exhaust out there. It's 3" and sounds like stock.

Sandblast and paint w/ black hi-heat paint (say BBQ). Exposure to chlorides (salt solution) will also eventually oxidize most types of stainless including 304, making it look dull and slightly brown.

buschur posted a while back on "the exahust thread" on hp results of various exhaust systems. The B&B did the worst, only a couple of hp above stock. I wouldnt spend money on the B&B after that test...

Try Perrin. Its not that loud and looks almost stock if you paint it. People have had decent results in terms of hp/tq.

go for the AMS. Its way quieter than buschurs and sounds nicer to me. The tip is a slap cut 3" pipe that could be painted black and thats it. Idle remains like stock, below 3k rpm like stock, at Wot it has this nice deep bike like sound. Nothing that would get a cops attention.
