Question GI: EVO Tubular Manifold

Hey guys,

I've been asked by an old sponsor to see what the interest may be for a tubular manifold for the Evo. They are looking to fabricate one and have it ready for production very shortly.

Here are the specifics:
4-1 pyramid merge collector
304 Stainless
Ceramic coated
Tig Welded
pricetag between $850-900

Here are a few pics of a manifold they already created for a 4G63 motor.*Note this manifold still had not been ceramic coated.

To give an idea of the finished product- here are a few pictures of a manifold they fabricated for the Mazdaspeed Protege. This is with the ceramic Coating

Can it be made out of the 321 stainless or is it 304?

Damn, that is one good lookin manifold. It looks like it is an equal length manifold, I am right?

The price is a little steep but, I guess you pay for what you get.

If I don't buy the RnR one, this looks like a good option.

Thats what it looks like a copy of. RnR should have put a patent on that style.

This actually looks interesting to me.. But I just can't afford that kind of money.. You will have to put up some real dyno numbers to prove that an equal length exhaust manifold is a worthwhile expense.

Yes, it's all going to depend on real world improvements....HP, TQ and spool-up! Not just someone saying it will increase all of the above.
