BR 3" Downpipe (help please)

Hey guys I'm going to get this 3" BR dp off another member... Right now I have a BR 3" SCCA catback with magnaflow muffler.. stock cat and dp.

My main concern is getting everything to fit up right.. I remember BR mentioning that some modification would be required when I did get a high flow cat and DP.

I know I'll probably have to cut the flange off the catback where it meets the stock cat right now... but I wasnt sure if anything else would be needed.. I'd rather not have to have anything welded :\

Here is a pic of the dp: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/at...chmentid=57136

any help or insight would be great

J-ROD TO THE RESCUE! LOL Hey man, yes our downpipe bolts to the cat and then the cat slips over the catback section. For this to work with our SCCA catback you will just have to specify when you order this (perferred if you could call to order this so we can talk) but we will make the cat a little longer to compensate for the cutting off of the flange on the SCCA catback. But we can get it to work for you no problem. I hope this help with your decision.

Take Care,

Sweet that's what I thought.. I've asked before but really couldnt remember. I'll be calling you as soon as I get paid

The guy I got the dp from mentioned something about using some silicone on the dp where it bolts to the o2.. do you happen to know what the temp rating needs to be? I've got some grease like stuff thats good for 550.. and some metallic stuff I use on my brake pads thats good to 1800f.

thx bro

There is no silicone needed on the 02 we actually dont use any gasket. It is just part of our design. Just make sure your stock exhaust donut is off of the 02 housing before putting the downpipe on. You should not get any leaks there.

Thanks
