I would take that big torque and quick spool over the lost 8 hp.

Just set them to +2/+2 seems to work well, alot of torque and picked up what I lost from the run before. I still am thinking the -2/-2 setting might be better since it makes more power on the topend.

Run#5 cams +2/-2
Run#6 cams +2/+2

Great work Doug congrats on those great #'s for stock turbo. It amazes me how much power the stock turbo can make. It's making me want to buy some cams and an AEM from you and Giovanni. Cant wait to see what kind of #'s you run at Commerce this year.

Run#6 cams +2/+2 : Nice torque not much lost on topend

Run#2 cams -4/-1 : laggy lost torque, ok topend

Run#21 cams 0/0 : Good all around

I completely agree.

You won't be able to accurately measure the 8hp difference on the street or at the track at that power level. You WILL know the difference that 20ft/lb of torque makes however.

it seems like those top end gains are almost neglegable to the gain of that midrange torque. i like run 5

I will personally run the cams at -2/-2 I like the topend power that is gained and will take a loss of lowend tq for it. In a drag race you will never see the 4k-5k gains that we saw with that setting. However for a street car where you want fast spool up and alot of midrange punch the +2/-2 setting is the way to go.

Run#3 -2/-2
Run#5 +2/-2

I cant believe you are achieving these numbers on the stock turbo. Just shows the power of good tuning, no pun intended.

Street People: One will know a difference >5% in that midrange torque in going from a roll, but one won't know a difference of <2% in peak hp.

Midrange tq is what the EVO needs to be able compete with cars like M5 and such on the roads.

Just FYI.
