evo4 rear diffs

What parts are involved in changing my AYC rear diff for an RS setup, I already figerd my cusco lsd unit wont fit, but when my pinion goes it breaks the aluminium center case around where the diff bearing goes on (looks weak as) Ive herd ineed an axel and the rear section of the driveshaft and maybe the crossmember or somthing.

If you go over to the lancer register at www.lancerregister.com there should be a list or some info on what you will need.

I think you said pretty much most of what you need in your post, but i'm sure theres a few extra bits that might be missing that I can't think of.

Nothing much except totally disconnection the AYC fluid connection and electrical connection. YOu can still re trofit an LSD into the AYC housing but you will need a new housing since the pinion has broken the housing.. Well, unfortunately it happens so often on the Evo 4,5,6 that they have totally replaced the quad spider differential to a straight type gear differential on the Evo 8... RS is the alternative with minimal fuss by replacing the rear crossmember as well but no harder than fitting the CUSCO LSD into the AYC housing like mine and removing the clutch plates on the AYC side and draining out the ATF fluids... works like a gem now and no more diff exploding..
