Isn't the 280's overkill for the stock turbo. By the time the turbo starts losing its power in the rpm band the cams are just starting the shine. Maybe i'm wrong on this, but that was my understanding of it.

is this a correct assumption? I was under the Impression that the 264's move the power band back alittle whiles the 272's push it even further back and am under the impression that the 280s would put the power band way behind what the stock turbo can spool too?

I dunno maybe I am misguided but I think the ideal for a stock setup would be the 264's while on the street and stock turbo . please help me out without saying well my 272's blah blah blah or I make more horespower blah blah blah ,

I am talking fun to drive while having power increased in the right band (say 3000 to 7000). I really dont want cams that pull to 9k because thats where theyre power lies .

most of us want a more streetable aggressive cam that produces more power in the stock powerband. or atleast its just me, i dunno

You are correct. 264's would be the better for the stock turbo in my opinion.

I guess it depends what you're after. I drive my car 80 miles round trip daily in stop and go traffic. I don't have any issues wth torque and the drivability has not suffered one bit. Downhere in Orlando, Evo's spend a lot of time at the track. Two nights a week the tracks are open, and you will find at least 5-6 Evo's there on any given night. So, I consider it a street driven track car, I never had any complaints about the low end torque, but the car always ran out of breath after 5800 rpms. So why would I want to exagerate that problem with street cams, was my thought process. With the 272, I think you have the best of both worlds, a friend and I are sorting this out over the next few weeks, he tried 272 and I tried 280, and we will see the results when we have all the bugs worked out. Anyways, we'll see what happens. Wish me luck....

I just dynoed my car today and came up 296hp to the wheels! All I have is ARC intake, Invidia downpipe/testpipe, Apexi Tit. Exhaust, Power FC, and AVC-R. Waiting for my Silkroad turbo mainfold, Greddy Blow Off, and Hard piping kit. Hopefully that gives me another 10 or 20 hp.

Try the +2/0 setting that Ted B and a few others have tried with great sucess. I plan on trying that setting when I get mine and I will also be getting tuned at Jestr so lemme know what numbers they produce for you.
