I don't think that it's very marketable due to the complexity and cost. Also, a supercharger only makes sense with a massive turbo since many of the current turbo kit solutins have excellent spool up response.

cool,

I'm a little bored and just read this whole thread AND the h-t thread, heh. I used to be a moderator over there, and was even an original member from when it was honda-acura.net...

Anyway, good stuff. I remember that G55 article in C&D, they compared it against a seriously modded hummer, right?

Take care,

FB

Yes, they compared it to a Lingenfelter H2.

I'll post pics when it's done. It's coming along well and should be done soon.

Good luck 3240 and thanks again for all your help in the thread I started.

I'm guessing that you must be running a really low piston compression to do this twin charge project. Can't wait to see the final results.

Are you cryo treating parts for added security?

Have you looked into REM Isotropic super finish for your gears, cams, etc....?

Good luck man! Its about time someone did that to a 4G63. I remember back in the late 80s when Koenig released a few Testarossas that were twin-supercharged and single-turbocharged. Can you imagine a turbo so large that a 4942cc V12 would need twin-superchargers to help out down low? Given it made 1000hp (seriously) and I think 750lb-ft.

Last week's Autoweek says that VW is going to offer a factory dual charged engine in their Golf. Did anyone else read about that?

We're within 30 days of having this thing up and running. Just waiting for the tranny. The engine looks incredible. Once it's polished up I'll post pics.
