Buschur Racing Car & Driver Super Four Challenge!
hey robi,
david implied that you wanted to change more things on the car.
looking at that naked trunk i'm suprised you didn't slap your wing
on the back of that thing.

ps. if you're up this way there is a lotus club day on the 27th.

Thanks for asking about the outcome. I forgot to post the results.
The Conquest, which you probably aren't asking about, only made two passes. The good thing is the problems we have been having with the car were only related to the water pump and the new pump we are running completely fixed the car. We assumed we had been blowing head gaskets and changed 3-4 last season. Ended up being the electic pump we run would stop pumping somewhere during a pass and make it appear as though it was a gasket problem. We ran a slow 9.0 pass with the car.
The RS's tires. UNBELIEVABLE. Love these new Neova tires. I wish we had known about them before the C&D event. With the extra rubber and softer tread wear the car performs much better. I went to the track with the car on race gas but the ignition started breaking up at high boost. No testing before I went, just got there and turned up the boost.
The good news is the best 60' time EVER in the RS has been a 1.73. With the new tires the car ran a 1.62 sixty foot time. That would have really helped us at the C&D event too. My guess is 0-60 mph times with these tires would have been low to mid 1.3's.
I am going to try and make it back out with the RS tomorrow night (Friday) and get a pass or two in with it. The difference in this car from 93 octane to race gas it just mind boggling.

That is awesome man. Let us know how you fare next time out
.
I'll keep you guys posted. I'd really like to see the car run well into the 120 mph trap speeds with the stock turbo on it and in real street condition. What I mean is do it in what an EVO is still suppose to be about, braking, handling etc. The car is freaking awesome, no other way to say it.
