Buschur Racing Car & Driver Super Four Challenge!
Terry....that really was my main question, u said Shiv/Paul confirmed they didn't get a penalty? I belive you! Lol. I was actually hoping they got penalized! A 10 second penalty would have placed the ALOT higher....(even against the open class cars)
The Mitsubishi VS. Subaru race we are having is this coming Friday. The RS will be there and we will be doing some testing. I cannot wait to get this car on the street again in AWD mode! I hope to be driving it this afternoon. One more dyno test and it gets the brakes, suspension and transfer case put back on it.
This Friday is going to be the deciding factor on how the car is built. Right now I am at Stage 4 plus a few additional things and the stock turbo still.
If the car can run 11.50's or better on 94 octane on the stock turbo then I will stick with a "budget" build.

Good luck even though I am wishing for an unlimited budget setup myself.

The car will probably have multiple pilots on the 15th for our race. I want to drag race it mainly but if I suck in the car then I will throw Kevin in it. He will be there driving our Conquest to some new low numbers I hope. From the looks of the dyno this week we should run some new records with the Conquest.
Robert Fuller is coming in to set up the suspension this week and he will make a pass or two on the dragstrip too for practice.
I don't want to completely kill the car this weekend. I'd like to see an 11.5 on pump gas and the stock turbo. From there I'll do more testing, as I have some other things in process right now and decide from there what to do for the big race.
Right now the car is on the dyno STILL. Tomorrow it comes off and gets brakes, suspension and put back to AWD for the first time in 6 months. I can't wait to drive it. The car is on the dyno with no cat. I might put one on tomorrow for the event. Truthfully I doubt it as I still have time to test it with one before June.

The car is an absolute monster to drive. The spool up on this car is deadly, you cannot roll away from a stop sign and turn while flooring the car, it will spin 180 degrees instantly.
I am very impressed, the car is almost difficult to drive it makes boost so fast. It's hard to drive slow.
We put 5 or 6 different drivers in the car on Friday at the race. Everyone from the shop had a turn plus a few other guys.
The MPH in the 1/4 mile ranged from 113 mph to high 116 mph. Best ET of the day was an 11.7 at 116 mph. Best 60' time was a 1.71, that was mine
The car just lights the tires when leaving the line, it is completely impossible to leave without spinning and impossible to bog the car. I think you could leave at 1500 rpm and not bog it. On the rear window of the car in huge letters I had written "94 Octane". That is what the car was FULL of. I filled the tank completely on the way to the track.
We did some suspension set-up, Robert Fuller did I should say. What a change in how the car drives and handles. We are going to start offering these services here on EVO's. Corner weighting, alignments etc. It is a huge difference. The EVO's need it right from the factory, which is why the front inside of the tires wear out so permaturely. We learned a lot from Robert, the guy is a cornering genius.
Rode with him this weekend while doing some cornering testing on the specatator side of Norwalk Raceway Park. The guy can drive. In my opinion this road course stuff is much more abusive to a car than drag racing, man it seems hard on a car to me.
Coming into work this morning I left the school where I dropped off my son. There is a nice S curve in the road. When I was in high school I had to hit each apex just right to go through them in my old Chevelle. I could go through them about 75 mph. This morning I went through them in the EVO in my lane with no effort at 100 mph. After exiting the corners I floored it and made a shift to 5th. Next time I glanced down I was at 140 mph. Effortless. The speedo was climbing like mad.
The car is unbelievable. I don't know what the other guys are bringing to the table but we aren't even done with this car yet. The suspension that is on the car is set up for street driving/drag racing right now. I can't imagine what it is going to handle like the day of the Challenge with Car and Driver. I can't imagine what it would feel like with Robert behind the wheel of it on that day. I think having someone hit you in the side of the head as hard as they could with a pillow would be close to how it has to feel in a corner though!
C&D is going to be impressed with what be bring, atleast I think they will. The ride quality of this car is better than stock and it is running a full race suspension, how that is possible I still don't quite understand.

Are you guys planning on offering suspension packages then?
Just tell me where to send my money !

The Omni's are on my brothers car, the one that went 10.94 at 134 mph. My car is running the top of the line DMS's, not cheap but I am convinced they are the best out there.
YES, we are doing suspension sales and we will be doing complete suspension set up here in the very near future. I am in the process of purchasing scales, laser alignment and camber/toe gauges now. Just pricing and comparing what is out there.
The turbo on the car is the MR turbine housing (same performance as the TME 10.5) a clipped turbine wheel and the standard compressor cover from the '03-'04. No difference in the compressor sides from what I have found.
Interesting information:
I have to go compare what I just logged but on the way to the shop this morning I ran the car fairly hard. I just downloaded the datalog from it. The AFR's are extremely rich, didn't realize it was this rich.
I pulled the log and after exiting some curves I went to WOT. This was at 103.5 mph, I then accelerated to 147.1 mph. The time in the log shows it took 9.02 seconds. I think that's decent, going to compare with some old C&D articles.

David's RS is UN BE***NLIEVABLE! Spool at 3 grand and a sledge hammer up your *** everytime you hit the throttle! They would take me away within the week if I ever tried to use it for my daily driver....
