Buschur Racing Car & Driver Super Four Challenge!
can you confirm whether or not COBB is an entry? After the Conebasher flop, maybe they will bring Conebasher 2 to try and compete.
If Vishnu brings "the EVO," I think its a safe bet that they will take it.....after all, didnt they come in 2nd with the big boyz?
Shiv, I know what you're going to bring.
BTW- I voted for an unlimited budget!!

I don't know what dave's plans are, but I think this competition is based more towards BEAST than BUDGET. If your not going there to win it all then why even compete. People already know about each tuners product. Most people want to see the FULL POTENTIAL of the tuners product, tuning ability, and overall performance. Like I said before it would seem kind of odd to bring a knife to a gun battle.
I look at the $100,000.00 cars in the magazine but I didn't buy one. I'm looking at your parts for upgrade on my new Evo because I can actually afford them and drive the car to work every day. Think from your point of view I would only spend money on the parts that make the car go/stop faster and not much on cosmetics. Don't really think a 2.0 or 2.4 engine in a 3200 pound car with a back seat can beat all comers, even with $50,000.00 worth of parts, but it can really impress with how close it can come for a reasonable cost
If you want to know what Buschur parts can do at a reasonable cost, take a look at the cars out there (I think there are at least 6 or 7 on this forum) running 11 second 1/4's on the stock turbo. We've already seen what off the shelf stuff can do.
Show me the money.

David,
You should use my car
It is completely stock except for the buschur catback you sold me when I brought my car over to help you develop the axle-back. I also have my quaife coming next week which should help you on the road course.

Dave- how bout an electronic dump pipe to keep things civilized on the road portion of the test and then to make big power on the track? A little DP wrap to hide the evidence, etc...

No need for an exhaust dump to be honest. The power difference wouldn't be worth it, probably would be 0 difference anyway.
We just dyno'd two seperate EVO's here with our 3" turbo back on them. They made 633 hp/510 ft lbs and 624 hp/579 ft lbs. Al has our full turbo back and made 675 whp. Our exhaust is good, easier to keep it than mess with a dump tube and the extra weight. I appreciate the idea though.

Why bother showing up then
Is'nt COBB gonna be there. Maybe they can compete for best Scoobie (hopefully they'll stay w/ top mount FMIC - I recall some FMIC problems last time)...
Dave-
Can you shed some light on you suspension set up - speaking in generalities... Then again if you're the only Evo there, be specific
Coilovers, logically (what kind)...
What shoes?
Rubber?

If this round of rumors is anything like the others, my hunch is that somebody heard half a story and made up the other half because it sounded cool.
My feeling is that if you show your shop can push out a ton of power, people will buy your products regardless. Very few people mod their cars with drivability in mind.
Go all out, you'll be great!
P.S. Please kick Vishnu's ***.

I voted for a budget build, but now have changed my mind. You should go out there to win. Like everyone else here, why go if you are not trying to win?
On Vishnu's part this makes me think twice about buying products after David's comments, I like dealing with professionals not immature kids. Just my .02
It will be a good competition and can't wait for the results.
PS. SUBSCRIBED!
