I know there will be huge V10's and likely V12's running around and 4 cyl turbo Elises almost half the weight of the other cars but the Evo should have a strong showing. Alky or water injection was prohibited if I remember right so there was no good way to run 30+ PSI boost on a huge turbo setup for max power. I think a stock turbo was a good way to go, or perhaps a slightly larger one to ensure boost holding to redline in all situations. I'm sure you'll be fine with the brakes even without ABS. I've had a replacement ABS motor for my 96 GSX for the last 4 years and ended up never putting it in because the AEM upgraded brakes were so good without it on the road courses.

This event is televised on Car and Driver televsion and will be played on the Speed channel(607 Direct Tv). We are bringing our turbo Elise (too many Evo's for us to bring ours) and there is a supercharged K20 motored one showing up as well. That no doubt will be a quick car as well. We look forward to seeing you and Robi at the event on Monday morning!!

Today was just the ride and drive portion of the event. Had 5 of the C&D's staff in the car driving it. Seemed as though they were impressed with the car. The only problem any of them had with it was the clutch was a little to touchy for them. After a couple of stops/starts they all got use to it.
Some bad *** cars here. One supercharged Lotus, turbo Lotus, ESX STi. Turbo Miata, turbo Tocoma, Audi S4, HKS's RS EVO.
SURPRISE SUPRISE!!! Shiv didn't show up in his EVO, just like I said he sold it. Then in his Subaru backed entry he blew up he didn't show up in that either. Did the car really have problems or did he and David just get worried about meeting all their fans here?!
Great time!! Having a blast. Tomorrow is the big race day.

David, can you find out from the staff exactly what day and maybe the time this will be televised on the Speed Channel. I couldn't find anything on the C n D website telling of this event.
Thanks

Best of luck David !
the eariler models were a twin turbo v6. the last of the s4's were twin turbo v8s. very rare and few of them. mind you i am not talking the rs4 or rs6.
It could have easily been and audi a4 which came with a 4cyl turbo just like some of the jetta's, and passat's. It could have been made to look like an s4.

B6/B7 chassis S4's are naturally aspirated 4.2L V8's putting out 344HP before you put it through the quattro AWD system
The only way you're getting a biturbo V8 in an Audi is if you have an RS6 or if you convince Champion Audi to sell you an R8 racecar retired from LeMans duty.
It was probably an A4 with a ricey AudiSport badge, making it appear to be an S4.
