I don't presume to know anything about Tomei at all as comapny, and this is only my personal opinion and not the official position of Forge, but....

... it looks like a factory valve made from stamped aluminum.

The only possible difference would be a different ( ie: stiffer) spring rate, which isn't listed.

Anyone know?

tomei makes very high quality engine parts, specializing mostly in internals (pistons, rods, cranks, etc.)... they just recently came into the u.s. a couple of years ago (group5 motorsports and aebs in san diego are their u.s. distributors), but they have been one of the top manufacturers in japan for sometime now, with companies like o.s. giken, arc, jun, hks, apex being its rivals as far as parts and reputation go....

as far as the bov, it does look like a stock stamped oem piece, but i'd have to agree with Mike that it probably does have a stiffer spring inside.... either way, you really can't go wrong with tomei, and you truly do get what you pay for...hope this helps...

i personally have the hks ssq ver 2 with the polished charge pipe.... its vented to the atmosphere and i have had no stalling or stumbling issues at all (although i do have the hks eids as well), and it holds boost well...

to each his own as, there are too many personal factors with bov's to really recommend one... but i have the hks and its perfect...
