HELP...Diagnose my problem please!!
I was at the track fri night...got one run in and ran a 12.1@117 at 2.8psi on c-16 fuel.....my run last year with same modds was 12.0@122.4 ...before i went to the track on pump gas and 23psi my car was pulling hard and running very strong, it seemed when i turned the boost way up for the track with the race fuel is sounded like air was passing by and not going into the engine, almost like mayeb something was loose..Today i was driving and actually chirped the tires from 1st to 2nd running low boost like 21psi. Also, when im running the lower boost im not getting that "air" sound. I wish i could explain the sound better. It kinda shutters and sputters a tiny bit, mayeb a foul plug???? i have no clue. Point being, my car seems faster with low boost and pump rather then high boost and race fuel. I beat a viper from 45mph-140mph last Sat on 21-22psi. Im gonna try doing new plugs today and see how it feels, ill take some pics of the plugs and let some of the profesionals see what they think. Thanks guys!!
no i have the Buschur 580 turbo kit, and just about every bolt on from buschur along with 272's, and head studds..255 fuel pump and 870cc inj. It was dynoflashed last year too the old turbo the Buschur 500 and has yet to be tunned to this tubo..
Maybe you need to tune it for the 580 turbo kit maybe thats why it feels slower when your boosting higher rather than when boosting at low psi it feels strong there will be diffrent a/f rations with a bigger turbo first thing is get it tuned for the 580 turbo kit then pin point problems
You probably overcame your blow-off valve when you turned the boost up, forcing your turbo to work harder to supply the requested 28 psi, and heating the **** out of the air. The hot air means less timing and less power overall.

Gert the HKS, it is a PULL Type Vs. a Push type. So no mattter HOW much boost you rrun the BOV will hold and then open against the preassue when you realease it.
Also your car is probably knocking or running to lean.
