Limits of components in Evo 6

Hey guys. I know this question has been answered before. I remember there was a sticky with a list of roughly what power everything from the stock injectors to the stock gearbox could take. Unfortunately, after 1/2 an hour of searching, I've educated myself substantially, but still not found the thread. So hopefully I can ask my specific question and get some good feedback, or at least someone linking me to the old thread!

Bottom line line is, my Evo 6 is currently putting out 280whp. I vaguely remember that something had a limit of 300whp, so I'm wary of modding it further. This is where I am, and where I want to be:

Currently
Aftermarket Exhaust manifold including ceramic coating
Stock turbo hand polished and ceramic coated
3" Mandrel bent exhaust, turbo back
600x300x76mm Hybrid Tube and Fin Intercooler
Intercooler hard piped from turbo outlet to throttle body
Metal pod filter and hard piped to inlet of turbo
Boost controller adjusted to 21psi
Custom tune with Greddy Emanage.
Exedy Full Face Organic Race clutch (300% clamping pressure apparently)

Desired
GT 3035 or 3037 also running about 21psi
264/272 Cams
Head work
Power porting intake manifold
75-100hp of Nitrous

I'm thinking I will need these at least:
Fuel pump + Injectors
Strengthened pistons and rods
Blueprinting the bottom end rotating assembly
Valve springs
Head Bolts

Is there anything else I will need? Strengthen block or head? Gearbox? Drive shafts? Valves?

My budget for all of this excluding labour is about $6k USD without labour (A friend and I are doing it all and I get free dyno time). The above desired items (not including the strengthening items) is about $4k USD. So I have another $2, maybe $3k to spend on the strengthening items.

Any feedbacks about my goals, things to watch out for, or any comments really would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, any idea what I would get? My optimistic hope is for 400whp without the nitrous shot.

Oh, and one more thing. It will be street driven, but not daily driven.

IE, M-F 9-5, I will be driving a Nissan Sentra (Pulsar over here - not a bad car since I've modded it to 180whp daily driven) but on the weekend, I will be doing a fair bit of going places, so it needs to idle and drive pleasantly on the street.

The standard Evo 6 gearbox will take up to 600 WHP without much trouble, thats provided you dun abuse it hard launches but generally have yet to see them break. However, a better clutch is needed than what you have if you go up in power. The ACT unit that is sold in the states will fit your car and its an excellent clutch for the Evo's.
However, the limit is the AYC rear diff which can't hold when you start pushing it even at low hp levels cause its differential is a quad spider bevel gear arrangement. I replaced mine with an aftermarket LSD unit disabling the AYC cause I was breaking too many of it.

AT your current power levels, you are close to maxing out your injectors and may have already reached limits on your fuel pump. Minimal a 255 l/hr Walbro and bigger injectors ( your choice depending on power levels) is needed.

If you're deciding on a bigger turbo to reach 500 whp, then you might as well rebuild the motor with stronger internals and have some headwork done porting, oversized valves, valve springs, retainers etc... Its all been discussed in other threads before... It really depends on your budget.

If IF you're doing 280 on a DDynamic 4wd dyno then its already pretty good for what you've got there.

Oh, and the E-Manage is definitely not something I would put on my evo ( too much dwell time on the coils unless yours is the newest upgraded version) kills ignition coils too easily.

A standalone Autronic Plug and Play or a Motec for your car is the best bet and since you're in Sydney, you should know how good that unit is. I'm running it in mine and was tuned by an Australian tuner from Queensland.

My evo 6 curently puts out 502 to the wheels at 30 psi on C16 fuel. Nothing stock except for the gearbox and driveshafts.

The list goes on but its a matter of what you want from the car and how reliable you want it to be.

Good luck!!
