Exclamation GSC 264in/272ex Cam Dyno Results (dynoflashed)

Here are the results of my Dynoflash. All I have to say is thanks a bunch AL for giving me some AWESOME numbers, the graphs talk for them selves. These cams are awesome, make my car run very rich before the tune but still made a great increase in power. After my custom dynoflash tune today AL worked his magic again and gave me some very impressive numbers. These cams also breath really good up top, minimizing backpressure allowing the boost to barely drop.

So With adding the GSC Cams and HKS RS intake I went from 286whp 314Torque to 344WHP 342Torque. That’s a very good increase. These cams are amazing the power delivery is just awesome. I think these are AL's new favorite cams over the HKS ones. I'm sure he'll post his observations later. Well enjoy!!!

My Mods:
GSC 264in/272ex cams
HKS RS Intake
RSR Turboback
UR High-Flow Cat
HKS Downpipe
Walbro 255lph
ARP Headstuds
Hallman Evo MBC (22 psi settling to 21psi at redline)
Greddy Type S BOV

First Graph is baseline done at TurboTrix (no tune)

Second Graph is baseline done at Pruven (no tune, no change just done 8 days later then Graph #1, but on pruven's dyno)

3rd is the first attempt at a tune to lean out the rich a/f and some other Magic.

Final Tune 343.8WHP 342.9WTQ!!!!

That's about the best I've seen for that amount of mods/money. Enjoy!

i think they should atleast lower the price a bit to get more people to buy the cams until they are well known. i know i would prefer spending a little more for hks.
just my 2*

Interesting to see the Pruven vs. Turbo Trix dynos with the same car/mods. Are they corrected or uncorrected (or is one corrected and one is not?)? Do you have the torque curve on the Pruven baseline?

Is that a genuine ungutted cat?

This is my 2nd run in with the GSC cams.

The first time I tested them at Top Speed in Atlanta I was really felling them but did not know fo sure it was the cams

After today's test session - I was blown away with these cams.

They are vastly superior to HKS in every manner

Better idle, more tq. faster spool up and more power.

More important than the numbers is the "feel" when you drive a car with these cams - much crisper and more lively feeling - they really make a huge difference.

Finally - they seem to create less back pressure and allow me to push the tune more agressively without knock. The profiles of the cams seems to help evacuate the sent combusion gasses more effectively so you have a cleaner flame front on the next cycle.

Thse numbers were very good for the mods which included stock fmic and pipes.

A very fast car to tune also due to absense of the knock.

Great product - throw the hks cams away.

good info all around, nice to see alternatives to HKS

can anyone chime in with more information (lift, duration at 1mm, and of course price for a set)?

The only thing that looks different on the Pruven and Turbotrix dyno are the AFRs

well and 10 less whp on Pruvens...but that could be contributed to many factors

Sweet,

Good stuff man. That's even better than you were expecting, right? Wow must be a blast to drive. Also shows the importance of the right tune for your mods. I'm glad I decided on a 264/272 setup as well.

Enjoy!

Good deal i'm glad you guys like the numbers.

wow.... 344whp on pump with those mods??? i may be getting these cams. i'd like to see the difference between this combo straight up vs. the hks 264s though... looking more for down low than up high.
