abnormal sound

Lately I've been noticing a strange sound coming from the clutch pedal or somewhere close to it. This sound only happens when I'm downshifting while braking (with rev matching). Its a mid-pitched hum that occurs right before the full contact point. The sound also vibrates into the clutch pedal. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

I have the stock clutch. Almost 12,000 miles on it. Mods, for now anyway, are upgraded intercooler and turboback exhaust. Only 275whp so I dont see why I'd be getting problems.

IS it like a howling sound when dopwnshifting from 3rd to 2nd with the clutch still engaged halfway in? I have similar noise like the one described> i heard its common on Evos to do that, my friend's does it too. Im guessing is the clutch wearing out, it even sounds like maybe the pressure plate or the flywheel.

It does seem to occur only when going from 3rd to second. But its isnt a howling sound, more like a humming sound. Anyone else have a clue?

Same here, but I don't worry about it because I will upgrade to ACT Street Clutch Soon.

Im wondering if its the clutch worn out causing the sound. Let us know if the noise goes away when you replece the clutch.
