Boost cut w/ no CEL?

I believe I was hitting boost cut tonight, every time I got to 5-6k rpm in 3rd the car would just jolt and not go anymore. I turned the boost down to 18 (from 20.5) and the problem went away. But it never threw a code. Should I reset the ECU anyways and leave the boost lower until it warms back up outside?

Thanks.

It's like 50-55 degrees outside right now, I tuned the MBC in ~80 degree heat. I did try a different gas station this time... I could just keep it down and switch brands next tank. Why wouldn't the CEL come on though?

that little temp change shouldnt do it. up here in nj i hit boost cut when it gets 20 deg and colder running about 21 psi on 93 oct.

just cuz you hit boost cut once or twice doesnt mean the cel would be thrown. just run thru the tank of gas and try it again if it keeps goin then ask again or shoot me a pm maby you have a hole or a vacume leak some where

did this just start happening after installing a boost guage just reading what u have installed.. wich line did you tap possably if you taped the FPR line instead of the line to the inside of it possably with the colder weather ur actually running higher boost then you think

Ive hit boost cut about 10 times, and I only had a light about 3 out of those 10 times. If it didnt throw a code I wouldnt worry about it aslong as you turned the boost down.

I tapped the line that comes off the intake manifold, the same spot that the factory boost gauge does. I stlil don't have a flash/tune yet, I really have to get that done soon I think now.

I had it tuned in this temperature before and it was fine, then I gave it another turn when it got hot and never thought to change it back.
