RPS is a very good clutch. I recommend this clutch to many members. Pedal feels like stock.

I meant to take picture of it but I didn't. The retaining ring just isn't made of wire stock it is made of square stock, then the TOB is machined to accept it. The stock is approx. 2mm thick.

Any more updates with this RPS Clutch? I was checking them out on RPS's sight and I did a search on here and found this thread....

With all of the people having this lockout problem with the ACT clutch, youd think more people would opt or have the RPS. Im guessing it was just because everyone jumped on the ACT bandwagon thinking it'd be the best cheap alternative also since they have a great rep with the DSM crowd (including myself).

I bought an ACT but never installed it, and I just sold it. I dont think I can justify spending $1300+ on a twin disc like Exedy especially since so many people I see are not happy with it. However, I will not tolerate missing shifts due to lockout with an ACT, thats unacceptable.

Im really looking hard at this RPS single disc. RPS does make one of the best clutches (carbon/carbon) and Ive heard lots of good things. Id love to hear some more feedback from guys who have this clutch. That time is coming for me to do the clutch and as of right now ACT is out of the picture, Cusco is too expensive (1400+) and Exedy at 1200 with all the bad wrap isnt sitting well either! Seems like RPS is my only choice.

Is there no lockout issues with the RPS single disc? Is this an exclusive ACT problem?

I didn't see anyone comment on the Exedy single disc clutch..

You can't really compare twin disc with single disc or carbon/carbon.. they are different in many ways...

From what I see 3 clutches that are close to price range and same style is the RPS single disc, ACT, and Exedy single disc..

I can't speak for ACT, but RPS has great customer service. You don't just get the hard parts, but technical advice on any issues that may surface during or after the install. They stand behind their product.

i used RPS clutch single this just like TURBODOWG said. pedal feel like a stock. but it hold more power than a stock. never have anyproblem shifting in high rpm.
the only problem with mine is hard go to the first gear, but that's just nothing.
cause can be cure with just to rev your engine a little and everything is smooth like a butter.
so TURBODAWG how you like the clutch?

Ive heard nothing but great things about the rps single disc clutch, I just trashed my rre no name after 6 months so I went ahead a purchased the rps, installing it as we speak. Everyone Ive heard from loves it has no problem holding power. Its not long term feedback but 2 cents worth none the less.
