Oh, ignore what the tech told you. Start with the lines and you should have it fixed.
If the solenoid was leaking then the boost would go up not down.
The pressure coming from the compressor housing is what pushes the wastegate open. The boost solenoid, when open relieves the pressure so the actuator is closed. When the solenoid is closed the actuator opens to release boost.

You will probably need to just check your lines first then I think you can order all 4 lines for about 20 bucks with the pills if they are needed.

4th line being the one that runs from the sylinoid back in on the intake (optional) The 3 main important ones are the ones that I have been talking about. All the lines that are connected to the T. Good luck, hope you get it figured out and yes at mitsu you will have to break it down for them as simple as possible.

Yes, it's not the solenoid though, it's the wastegate in the '03s take it in and have them do the tests on it. I had the same problem you had, and tried playing with the pills, and had them do the tests too... MBC fixed the problem 100% without having to do anymore guess work

JustDSM, the parts guru is on so I just asked him for the part number you need. If he sees my post I will have it for you shortly.
Here is the part number request thread. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=124376

UT_Evo: Missing pills can blow out the actuator diaphram. The testing pressure is max of 114 kPa or so It's in the manual. That is only 16 psi.
