BOV + Buschur Upper Intercooler Pipe

Hey, right now I am running the 1G BOV and have noticed it performs really outstanding. However, with its age it has started to rust pretty bad and it is summer time so I am looking into getting an aftermarket BOV. Being I'll be able to hear it with the windows down

Is there anything I need to be concerned about with fitment to the buschur pipe?
I am read good reviews about the TIAL, and OK reviews about the Turbo Smart. I also have the HKS RS Intake and run 1.5 BAR. On my WRX I ran the Forge and it was outstanding but dont know much about it on the EVO.

Can anyone here recommend a good setup? Thanks for all the help

Forge makes a valve for the 1G that will fit with your piping.

You have quite a few options, but it depends on your needs, such as drivability, compressor surge, adjustability, and the necessity to recirculate

I personally found most of the aftermarket BOV's would leak at 22psi when they were adjusted for best drivability.

The only guideline you really should be using for fitment is

1) its a 1G BOV flange
2) Recirculation is necessary unless you no longer run a stock MAF

I personally have tried the Blitz, with the Skyline flange (1G DSM is almost identical) with less than satisfactory results..

my HKS SSQV has a 1G flange (very hard to come by) but it will hold any boost you throw at it.. But you may experience drivability problems unless you spend time adjusting it, and it flutters if you adjust it for best drivability. I also purchased a recirculation kit, and the alignment is just right to be a bolt-on swap for the 1G DSM valve on the Evo, even the hose to the intake pipe lines up right (but you will have a slightly different size hose so you have to tighten the clamp pretty tight. I expected it to be quieter recirculated into the intake (my car doesn't need recirculation, I used it by choice) but its just as loud either way.

Your other options are basically anything designed to handle 22psi of boost or so, and available with a 1G DSM flange... What is best? Well, I wasn't happy with the 1G DSM because it leaked on me, and was always partially open at idle, the HKS so far has worked best in my application. But your mileage may vary depending on other mods.

this may be kindof off topic but i am ordering the buschur deluxe fmic kit with upper piping and was wondering if anyone had them send the uicp without the 1g valve and flange on it so you could get your own flange welded to it
