trany fluids to use.
BEWARE OF REDLINE! do a search and you'll see what I mean.
So time ago I read some posts that directly attributed redline to gear failure. Jon from TRE even posted a warning about it.

If your using a fluid to correct notchy/grinding shifters...I would recommend fixing the tranny, not the fluid. The stock fluid works and works well...its the metal that isnt working right. Synchromesh, etc can give you better shifting, but at a trade off for better gear lubrication. So a lubricant that is good for synchro engagement might not be good at all for gear wear. Fortunately I havnt heard many complaints on tranny gears failing...so hopefully it works OK.
Anyways, Im voting stock, even though the poll doesnt accept my choice.
Also, FYI- GM and Pennzoil synchromesh are the exact same oils only in different bottles. One choice on the poll would suffice.

I second this. Stock fluids for me. Almost 44k miles on the tranny now with the only fluid change at 30k. Up until about 10k my tranny was super notchy, especially the 1-2 shift. Now it is pretty much smooth in all gears, 1-2 will clunk every now and again, but nowhere near what it used to be. I had a friend put in redline and it really jacked it up. So I stick with stock.
