Mmmmm, precious.... (BWW)
Yes it will drop right in. Get the koyo radiator for the evo VI and it will work and the outlet of the radiator is lined up perfectly with the inlet on the motor. There is a local guy that has the koyo evo VI raidator on his VIII and this is the route that I will be going.

that is indeed surge porting. what happens is the oncoming air goes into the holes and reaches the bottom of them and then tries to pop back out. this effectively creates a pressure differential between the inlet and the rest of the comp housing.
they do this because if the air comes on too fast, if the airspeed attempting to go over the wheel is too great then you get wing stall (wheel stall). also if your compressor flows too much for your hot side you will get surge.
surge poring fixes both problems by reducing inlet velocities, it's basically introducing the perfect restriction because nothing is more smooth on air than more air.

Sweet! ... I cant wait to see what type of power your making as I'm really interested in the full-race manifold and DP
<---- selling 19" volks for almost same setup. I'll be running a SC61 with 4 bolt exhaust side though. But i'll have the same manifold/downpipe, i'll post pics once installed
